Book Club

Book Club 9x12 oil on gessoboard

This is a painting intended for a new little family member's bedroom.  The recipient is just a baby now, but this is how I imagaine her earliest "captive audience" as she discovers the wonderful world of books.

The Sentinel...revisited

The Sentinel 8 x 8 oil on gessoboard  SOLD

Happy summer everyone! I've been tied up with some portrait commissions (lucky me!) but thought I'd give this little painting a second moment in the limelight. It has previously gotten quite a few views, so perhaps it might find some new fans. Hope to be back at a DPW "routine" soon.

The Sentinel

Crows often drop by for a drink in our backyard and I love to see them. They're such stunning-looking creatures. Even if they kind of dwarf the birdbath, they still manage to look so majestic.

Chippie

Chippie 8 x 8 oil on gessoboard  SOLD

These little guys are irresistible as far as I'm concerned. Gregarious, curious, and quick to recognize the source of a likely snack, they are one of summertime's joys. Whether I'm reading in a deck chair, tending my planters, or pulling weeds, I can count on a chippie popping up to join me. (Of course, my husband and I do encourage this by always having peanuts at the ready.)

Wine and Grapes

Wine and Grapes 16 x 12 oil on gessoboard  SOLD

A traditional still life in rich greens and golds, ideal for living or dining room. Grapes are always a favorite subject, and the light that pierced through these deep purple gems was especially fun to capture.  This 16x12 oil on gessobord is a standard size for ready-made framing.
