Summer Reprised

Summer Reprised 12 x 9 acrylic on stretched canvas AVAILABLE

It's November here in Canada, but we've been enjoying some unseasonably warm days. We know, however,  that winter isn't far around the corner, so I thought I'd recall a memory of summer.

Summer

Summer 12 x 9 acrylic on stretched canvas AVAILABLE

A painting from last summer. Nothing beats the wild abandon of leaping off a dock. Life at the cottage is all about joys such as this.

Arabella

Arabella 12 x 9 acrylic on stretched canvas  SOLD

This painting is a commissioned piece. Arabella is a sweet little Italian Greyhound who belongs to a very good friend. She was a rescue dog, as are many greyhounds that later become beloved pets. I find her grey and white face simply captivating -- a mixture of vulnerability and imperious elegance. What a little "lady" she is!

Leaping Into July

Leaping Into July  12 x 9 acrylic on stretched canvas  SOLD

This is a revised version of an earlier piece. It had been on hold for a prospective buyer, but is now available. To me it conjures up summer, cottage life, and youthful exuberance in a single joyous moment..

Demure

Demure 12 x 9 soft pastel on Canson paper  SOLD

This little pastel quickly sold, but I'm working on more small classic nudes in oil and acrylic.

What's Up?

What's Up? 12 x 9 oil on stretched canvas   SOLD

I love Blue Jays. I know they're noisy, pushy, and some say even aggressive. They're also drop-dead gorgeous, inquisitive, intelligent, and fun to watch.  Winter and summer they fill our yard with life and color.

Hail, Caesar!

Hail Caesar!  12 x 9 acrylic on stretched canvas  SOLD

An homage to the mighty Caesar salad, with textures and colors as delightful as the savory dressing they concoct. Must paint another and include the Parmesan as well.
