At 24 by 30 inches, "Salon" is one of my larger pieces -- a traditional figurative in oil on stretched canvas. I used the complementaries of yellow and purple to provide a lush backdrop for a classic nude pose.

This young girl is a favorite model -- a lovely young woman in every way. Normally in perpetual motion, it's rare to find her still. I did, however, manage to capture a photo of her in one such quiet moment. This pastel is the result, and it's a treasured part of my own collection.

Fox kits are such winsome subjects to paint. This young fox is doing a bit of lone exploring. Even so, he keeps looking back, keeping an eye on mom and his siblings. I'm taking the plunge with this painting and making it my first DPW auction.

I love Blue Jays. I know they're noisy, pushy, and some say even aggressive. They're also drop-dead gorgeous, inquisitive, intelligent, and fun to watch.  Winter and summer they fill our yard with life and color.
